Damian Lillard is one of the most exciting players in the NBA. He has led his team to a number of wins, including an impressive game-winner over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Damian Lillard is a professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers. He has been in the league since 2012 and is currently one of the best players in the NBA. On March 10, 2016, he scored an incredible game-winning buzzer beater against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers hit the game-winning shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 with such confidence that a casual basketball fan would think he makes that shot on a regular basis. Lillard’s ability to shoot and make shots from beyond the three-point line never fails to surprise him. When recreating his iconic shot that sent OKC home in the first round of the NBA playoffs, even he was taken aback.

One of the greatest moments in NBA history is Damian Lillard’s game-winning shot against the Thunder.

Damian Lillard’s game-winning shot in the first round of the 2019 NBA playoffs against the Thunder was nothing short of incredible.

Now, let’s quickly create some background. For openers, the Blazers were up 3-1 in the series and had a chance to win it all at home. Although Portland controlled the series, Lillard and Thunder star Russell Westbrook had been sparring, with The Brodie suggesting that he had the upper hand on Lillard.

Lillard has already scored 47 points in Game 5 thus far. He made 9 of 17 shots from beyond the arc. So Dame was full of confidence when the Blazers grabbed a rebound after a Westbrook miss with fewer than 20 seconds left and the game knotted at 115.

Lillard was defended by Thunder swingman Paul George, generally regarded as one of the greatest perimeter defenders in the game, just across the lane. Instead of attempting to get anything going near the hoop, Lillard took a step back and hit a 37-foot shot. The ball landed in the bottom of the cylinder, bringing the series to a close and advancing the Blazers to the conference semifinals.

However, the picture captures just a portion of the moment. As the ball swished into the net, Lillard waved farewell to the Thunder bench. He was surrounded by his teammates and stared into the camera in a moment that would go down in history as a meme.

Dame’s game-winning goal was also the second of two series-clinching buzzer-beaters for him. That made him the only player in NBA history with two series-ending buzzer-beaters, joining Michael Jordan.

Lillard is taken aback by the fact that he had the nerve to shoot the ball from that distance.

In a recent commercial with Biofreeze, Lillard expressed astonishment at the distance of his game-winning shot.

Lillard may have shot the ball confidently at the time, but as he retraces the shot, he is taken aback by his own range.

In a new commercial video for Biofreeze, the Blazers star recreated the Thunder game-winner. He told the camera that he was aware that he was taking the last shot and that he needed to utilize a high trajectory to get it off correctly.

Lillard, on the other hand, appeared surprised as he walked up to the plate. Dame questioned whether the measurement was correct. Lillard’s surprise was funny when he was informed he was shooting from the proper place.

This far as s—, bro.

Maybe this was one of those times when Lillard’s adrenaline took control.

Dame realized he had a chance to help the Blazers win the game. He was approaching 50 points and had already established an unrestricted range throughout the series. It didn’t matter from where Lillard fired the ball. The ball had a possibility of reaching the cup’s bottom.

At the very least, that’s how it felt at the moment. Looking back, Lillard is surprised he was able to hit his game-winning shot from such a long distance.

Damian Lillard, with the exception of Stephen Curry, may be as good as anybody at hoisting 35-foot shots.

Last season, Lillard was 3-for-7 from 35 to 39 feet. During the 2019-20 season, he was much more effective from the free throw line, hitting 8 of 12 attempts. All of this is to suggest that Lillard can make jumpers from wherever on the court.

If he sees even a glimpse of sunshine, the Blazers star isn’t hesitant to dig from deep. Lillard has always exuded a brazen confidence. Even he had to confess his own surprise when he saw the Thunder game-winner again.

Basketball Reference and NBA.com provided the statistics.
