Lewis Hamilton has praised the F1 rookie for her “inspiration” in the sport. The Briton said he was “hugely impressed” with Raducanu’s performance and that she had been a “great addition to the team.”
The f1 news is a sport that has been dominated by Lewis Hamilton for the past few years. He leads the praise for Emma Raducanu, who is the first female to race in F1.
After Emma Raducanu’s surprising U.S. Open win, Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton was among the many who praised her.
Raducanu, 18, made history on Saturday by becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since 1977, as well as the first qualifier to win a major event, male or female.
Raducanu is an avid motor racing enthusiast who grew up doing motorcross and karting. She was driven around the Silverstone circuit in a McLaren 720s as part of Pirelli’s Hot Laps at the British Grand Prix in July.
Raducanu had previously shared a photo of herself watching a race with the caption “The Sunday rituals that don’t change” earlier in the season.

During the drivers’ parade before of the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, Hamilton mentioned the teen phenomenon once again.
“It’s amazing to watch her rise,” he added. “Her laser-like concentration, her unwavering resolve.”
“She’s also a really kind person. She is a source of great pride for the United Kingdom. I’m excited to see what she comes up with next.”

“Definitely!” Hamilton, who starts fourth on the grid, replied when asked whether Raducanu will be a motivation for him throughout the race. Anyone may be an inspiration, and she is undoubtedly such a person.
“Today, I will strive to do the same for my nation as she did. It’s a difficult order, but she just proved that everything is possible.”
On Saturday evening, it wasn’t only Hamilton in the F1 paddock who had tennis fever.
Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris, the McLaren drivers who start second and third on the grid, both confessed to staying up later than they should have in order to see the whole race.
“I’m probably not supposed to mention this, but I saw it!” Sky Sports quoted Ricciardo as saying. “Last night, I stayed up far too late.
“It was a terrific game when I first began watching it. How ferociously they pursue the ball! I thought to myself, “Little powerhouses!” I couldn’t turn it off because it was so good. I definitely went beyond my bedtime, but Emma handled it well. It’s fantastic to witness this.”

“It’s the first tennis match I’ve ever watched from start to finish,” British driver Norris, 21, said. This demonstrates something.
“It was incredible to see. In a similar vein, going into Formula One at my age is comparable. It’s great to see someone taking it to the big dogs, the more seasoned and older athletes.
“I was pulling for her to succeed, and I’m happy she did.”
Williams George Russell chimed in with admiration for Raducanu, but he quipped that she may have to switch allegiances in the future.
“I saw she’s a Formula One enthusiast… a Danny Ric fan… which was upsetting!” Perhaps we’ll have to persuade her to choose Lando or myself.
“However, a great amount of respect is due to her, and she deserves it.”
The Italian Grand Prix will be broadcast live on ESPN2 on September 12 at 8.55 a.m. ET.
