Splitgate is an epic multiplayer game that pits you against your friends or strangers in a game of strategic shooter. Splitgate weapons are the most powerful weapons in the game, so people will always use them. Even though there don’t really any Splitgate weapons that are really bad, there are some that are more powerful than others. Here is the list of the worst splitgates weapons.
The new Splitgate weapons are here! There’s three new weapons in Splitgate 2, and they are an absolute blast to play with, but they are also incredibly frustrating. Below is a ranking of the new weapons, from worst to best.
Hero-X posted a nice post showing the best of the worst, so it’s time for me to do the same. I’ll group the weapons into tiers, so you can see how they played out in the meta, if it’s still around, and how they stack up against each other. I’m ranking them from best to worst, so the worst weapons are at the bottom.
It’s understandable if you haven’t heard about Splitgate yet. It’s still in beta, but it’s already proved to be one of the finest first-person shooters we’ve seen in a long time. It’s been dubbed “Halo Meets Portal” by the Splitgate crew. It draws heavily on the early Halo games, both in terms of gameplay and aesthetics, as well as the Portal series’ portal guns. Portal weapons, that’s what they’re called. For this list, I’ll go through all of the weapons currently available in the game (excluding the portal gun, which isn’t really a weapon). “What is the greatest weapon in Splitgate?” is, naturally, one of the burning questions on most players’ thoughts when it comes to Splitgate.
We’ll start with our Splitgate weapon tier list and then rate all of the Splitgate weapons from worst to finest in the following sections.
Tiers of Weapons in Splitgate
I simply want to be clear about one thing: Splitgate has no terrible weaponry. As a result, this tier list only goes as low as C-tier. Even yet, such weapons are still very effective.
Weapons in Splitgate are ranked from worst to best.
What is the most effective Splitgate weapon? Each weapon in this game seems so distinct that it would be immoral not to dedicate a segment to each of them, so I’m going to do just that. I won’t bore you with the technical specifications of each weapon; instead, I’ll discuss each one and its greatest use.
Plasma Rifle (No. 11)
To begin, I’d want to state that I do not believe the Plasma Rifle is a terrible weapon. In reality, there are no terrible weapons in this game. However, in terms of flexibility, this is by far the least useful weapon. The Plasma Rifle rips through opponents at close range, although it does it in a less effective manner than the Shotgun. And if you attempt to use the Plasma Rifle at range, it soon becomes unusable. The Plasma Rifle performs well in certain situations, but it is mostly poor in others.
10) Launcher for Rockets
It’s unusual for the Rocket Launcher in a game to be one of the weaker weapons, but I think that’s the case here. The Rocket Launcher is nice, but this game is so fast-paced that I don’t think there are many instances when it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Players don’t actually stand in the same location long enough for a rocket to strike them since they can portal around the area. Perhaps if the rocket speed was increased, this weapon might be more effective, but it isn’t quite there now.
9) Pistol
In the hands of a competent player, the pistol may be a highly deadly weapon, but it is also extremely tricky to wield. To make effective use of this weapon, you must regularly hit headshots, which is no simple task. The Pistol’s body shots inflict so little damage that they’re never worth it. If you’re going to play ranked, make sure you get plenty of experience with the Pistol, since it’s one of the default weapons there, replacing the Assault Rifle. I enjoy the Pistol, but I’m not very good at it.
The BFB is number eight.
The BFB is the melee weapon in this game, and it’s a blast to wield. It’s nothing more than a baseball bat that one-shots anybody it hits. The BFB is best utilized on smaller levels, where you can dash around corners and take out enemies before they can shoot you. It’s almost worthless on bigger maps, and it’s not even very good versus more experienced players or those with powerful weapons, but I still like it. The BFB is ideal for those who want to have a good time.
7) Sniper
The Shotgun in this game is very helpful. It shines at close range (obviously), but it’s also decent at mid-range. If they’re near enough, it can kill in one shot, but it’s typically a two-shot if they’re farther out. The main drawback is that having one-shot kill weaponry isn’t as spectacular in this game as it is in others. Because most weapons have the ability to kill fast, they must do something special to distinguish out. As is, the Shotgun just lacks the necessary uniqueness to be more helpful in this situation.
6) SMG
The SMG is my favorite of the game’s close-range weapons. It kills quickly, can be used at mid-range, and feels fantastic. In objective-based games like Domination and King of the Hill, where scoring many quick kills is simple, I prefer the SMG. The SMG is extremely similar to the game’s Assault Rifle, but with a shorter range. The only significant disadvantage is the limited magazine size, although this can be overcome. Simply pay attention to your magazine and reload regularly.
5) The Railgun
The Rail Gun is a weapon that I first disliked, but it has since grown on me. It works as a “laser” weapon, which means it takes time to charge yet kills in one shot. It works best at greater ranges, and you should never use it up close. But that’s OK; I’ve never played a game in which the charge-up weapons were effective at close range. It takes some time to get accustomed to the Rail Gun, but once you do, it’s time well spent.
Sniper Rifle (No. 4)
Snipers are usually entertaining, but this one is much better. It’s not just a force to be reckoned with at long ranges, but it also has amazing hip-fire accuracy. No-scoping has never been so simple. The Sniper can be found on a variety of maps, so it’s a weapon you can confidently hunt for in every game, and once you do, it’ll be difficult not to rack up a few kills with it.
3) Assault Rifle (Assault Rifle)
To be honest, I think the Assault Rifle is my favorite weapon in the game. I wouldn’t say it’s superior than the two before it, but I do like using it. Because it’s one of the default weapons, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get to know it, and you’ll be amazed at how flexible it is. Even in games like Halo, I’ve never been a big fan of assault rifles. But it’s the primary gun I want all the time in this game. This is mostly due to its range, since although it excels at close range, its mid-range gaming is as impressive.
Carbine (No. 2)
Another of the default weapons is the Carbine. And, to be honest, it’s one of the best DMRs I’ve ever seen in a game. Its range is nearly as excellent as the Sniper’s, and you get to use it every round. It can score an easy three-shot kill as long as one of the shots is a headshot. To be honest, it couldn’t be much better. This is one of Splitgate’s most lethal weapons. I strongly advise you to practice as much as possible.
1) Rifle de combat
When most people think about Battle Rifles, they immediately think of Halo’s fan-favorite weapon. This game completely embraces this, giving the Battle Rifle a look that is very similar to the Halo version. The Battle Rifle, on the other hand, is strangely better in Splitgate. It’s a two-shot kill (as long as one of them is a headshot) with a large range that’s common on most maps. I’d say this is much too excellent as a starter weapon, but it isn’t. As a result, it receives a pass. Despite this, it is still the greatest weapon in Splitgate. And it’s just a hair’s breadth apart.
Be a part of the High Ground
Splitgate is acquiring a sizable fanbase, especially considering how young the game is, and it seems that its potential is almost limitless. It harkens back to the days of arena shooters, which emphasized real talent much more than many modern games do. We hope you found this rating of all Splitgate weaponry to be useful. It does this by including contemporary features that make it seem new and interesting. Make sure you have a good time and go out and play this game. After all, it’s free.
