3 things GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X should do to improve the game

“GTA 5” was the first game to launch on the Xbox One, benefiting from Xbox One’s exclusive features like the power of the cloud, its new controller, and many improvements through the new “GTA Online” that is now available for PlayStation 4. The game has gotten some criticism after its release. Some of the major issues are the unbalanced vehicle damage, the awkward shooting mechanics, and some bugs that could cause the game to crash.

The future of gaming is upon us, and it won’t be too long before the games we play become a distant memory from the past. In fact, it’s already happened, as GTA V is now a thing of the past, and the new releases do not hold a candle to the GTA titles of old.

As you can guess, this article is about GTA 5’s recent announcement that it will be coming to the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles. While this is great for gamers who play the game on the PlayStation or Xbox, how do you think this announcement will affect the game?

A reader anticipates the next-gen editions of GTA 5 and GTA Online and recommends three significant modifications to Rockstar.

Many gamers are wondering, “What does it mean?” after hearing about the upcoming GTA 5 standalone “Expanded and Enhanced” version, which is set to release this fall. For starters, Rockstar hasn’t said anything about what “Expanded and Enhanced” means. We know it’ll be released on Xbox One X and PlayStation 5 (both of which are difficult to come by and very costly), so expect some visual upgrades. With the introduction of the new Los Santos Tuners expansion, we now know that vehicle performance will be improved. But, in the end, what does it all mean?

No one knows for sure, which will certainly lead to a lot of conjecture as the day approaches. GTA 5 is a very popular game – one of the most popular of all time – but many fans believe that a new edition would do nothing to spark their attention unless it had significant improvements. So, what can Rockstar do to ensure that the new edition fills the gap left by the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6?

3. Map that has been expanded

Many players assumed that with the Cayo Perico update, they would be able to move back and forth between Los Santos and Cayo without having to wait for a cut scene. Unfortunately, because to the lack of freedom in Los Santos, this proved to be incorrect, and the Cayo environment seems like another assignment. If the new edition extends the area as it claims, Rockstar may have a hit on their hands, since many gamers are eager for a new place with all the freedoms that come with a free roam open world. Not simply a beach party where all you can do is dance and drink a couple tequila shots. (A beach party with rotating DJs would have been fantastic.)

2. Increased Interaction

With the emergence of GTA role-playing servers, many elements of the normal online mode, such as the absence of interactions with the game, seem to be a bit boring. Role-playing allows participants to immerse themselves in a world that they can relate to. This is lacking in GTA Online, which has the same non-player characters doing the same old things. Isn’t it great to meet up with your pals for a cup of coffee or create a gang with some non-player characters?

What about basketball, surfing, or ice skating? To acquire weight, should you do weightlifting or go to a restaurant and get a cheeseburger? Going on dates with females you met online? Do any of these words ring a bell? They should, since they were possible in prior games. The community is baffled as to why Rockstar eliminated these role-playing aspects, but if they’ve learnt anything from previous trends, it’s that they need to put them back in the current-gen editions.

1. Additional Interiors

While the current version of GTA Online allows players an array of activities to participate in inside of buildings (Maze Bank Arena, The Diamond Casino & Resort, arcades, business, apartments, etc.) they do so through a loading screen which can make players feel like they’re loading into another world. Additionally, most players feel like there isn’t much vertical to the game. Sure, you can fly high in a helicopter, but this is just the top layer to the world of Los Santos.

Many players desire to get deeper into the game, and newer versions may include more vertical features so you don’t feel like you’re driving on top of the planet. Furthermore, the freedom to go inside any building you choose (at least in the vast majority of cases) is a crucial component that gamers want. In essence, the same Los Santos that we all know and love would become a new playground for exploration.

Imagine stepping inside that house on Richman Drive that you pass every day, or entering a classroom at ULSA. Consider seeing what’s within the movie studios or investigating all of Paleto Bay’s structures. Not just a few visual and vehicle speed performance improvements, but this feature alone would breathe fresh life into the environment of Los Santos and really make the updated editions worth everyone’s time.
